Bravo Filipino | Community Organizations Bring Hope and Compassion to Youth at Parañaque’s Bahay Pag-Asa Juvenile Center
PARAÑAQUE CITY, Philippines — More than 50 young residents of the Bahay Pag-Asa Juvenile Center in Parañaque City received a day of encouragement, fellowship, and practical support as several civic, faith-based, and corporate organizations came together for a community outreach program held on July 18.
The joint initiative was organized by Live Christ Share Christ (LCSC), 365 Saints Educational Mission, Inc., Negosentro Media, and the International Fraternal Order of Eagles Philippine Eagles Pro Patria (IFOE PRO PATRIA). The outreach was further strengthened through the support of Copperstone Lending Inc. under its corporate social responsibility program, MocaMoca Cares, which served as one of the event’s sponsors.
Hosted in coordination with Bahay Pag-Asa Head Mr. Alex Guian, the activity sought to provide not only essential assistance but also hope and inspiration to the young people currently undergoing rehabilitation at the government-run juvenile facility.
Participants received hot meals and hygiene kits, while volunteers spent time interacting with the youth in an atmosphere of encouragement and compassion.
Beyond the distribution of supplies, the highlight of the outreach was a Values Formation and Moral Upliftment Session conducted by the Live Christ Share Christ (LCSC) Parañaque City Chapter. The session was led by couple missionaries Bro. Rodel Sope and Sis. Nilda Sope, who shared messages centered on faith, personal transformation, responsibility, forgiveness, and the hope of new beginnings.
The organizers emphasized that every young person deserves opportunities for guidance, encouragement, and positive influence as they prepare to reintegrate into society.
Gracing the event from IFOE PRO PATRIA was Kuya International President Sajid Salih (President of IFOE PE PRO PATRIA), joined by his wife Ate Jane Salih (IFOE PE PRO PATRIA International Event Director). Others from IFOE PRO PATRIA and the IFOE PRO PATRIA-affiliated Supremus Cavaliers Eagles Club include Kuya Rogelio Laforteza, Kuya Patrick John Bito-on, Ate Maylyn Cabrera, Kuya Milson Aoanan, and Ate Crisadil Gabion, who coordinated the provision of meals and essential supplies for the beneficiaries.
According to 365 Saints Educational Mission, Inc. Chairman and Negosenrro Media Group Publisher, Homer Nievera, “The event is a kick-off for our charitable efforts; together with fellow volunteers from the participating organizations, in uplifting the lives of juveniles towards being future contributors to society.”
As part of its continuing commitment to supporting Filipino communities, Copperstone Lending Inc., through its MocaMoca Cares program, partnered with the organizers by sponsoring the initiative. The company has continued to support projects that promote community development, humanitarian assistance, and meaningful social impact through partnerships with civic and non-government organizations.
The collaboration reflects a shared belief among the participating organizations that lasting community development begins with compassion, cooperation, and investing in the lives of young people who are given opportunities to rebuild their future.
“Our goal is not simply to provide meals or essential items for a day, but to remind these young individuals that there are people who believe in them and are willing to walk alongside them as they pursue positive change,” the organizers shared.
The outreach also highlights the value of partnerships between faith-based organizations, civic groups, media organizations, and socially responsible companies in creating programs that uplift vulnerable sectors of society.
